Abstract

The football coach manages the match by directing his players and exerting a great effort
in this mission. However, this effort is duplicated with those unhealthy players, such as those
who challenge with their disabilities (deaf category). In fact, the coach sometimes finds himself
unable to deliver the instructions to his players in the critical moments of the match because
they do not pay attention to him since they are busy with the match. This is because they suffer
from lack of communication due to their hearing loss. Thus, the research aims to state the
impact of the innovative electronic device on deaf players' ability to communicate with the
coach to receive his instructions through the time difference between the desire to
communicate, the actual communication for guidance, and the number of times guidance done
before and after using the innovative device. The experimental method was used in form of
two equivalent groups with the close observation of four coaches of some Paralympic
committee teams from the Middle Euphrates Region, with twelve (12) runs in six (6) matches
for each coach, and in total of 48 runs equal to (2160) minutes, equal to 36 hours of
communication for the sake of instruction. The matches were held between teams in a twostage league (the first six matches were played without this device, while the second six
matches with the use of this innovative device) that held in Karbala under the supervision of
the Central Iraqi Federation for Deaf Games. A data collection form was designed for the
research variables. The study shows a preference to the use of the innovative device in matches.
The researcher believes that this is due to the role of electronic devices and communication
technology in developing communication performance management to increase the level of
directing during the football match between the coach and the player. That is why, the most
significant conclusions support the innovative device because it has a positive effect of
44.357% and also in reducing the response time by 269.6% to control the communication
process for guidance during the football match of deaf players.
