Abstract

The achievement of perfection in the execution of the motor skill is
connected with the mastery of the mental skill, since it precedes it in execution.
It has become important to carry out an analytical study to find out the extent of
the relationship between these skills, relying on accurate scientific tests using
equipment made and developed for this purpose. As well as a special simulator
to measure the most important mental skills required by football players, such as
concentration, speed of response, and decision-making, in order to achieve the
best results and a study with a high level of honesty and stability. As well as a
special simulator to measure the most important mental skills required by football
players, such as concentration, speed of response, and decision-making, in order
to achieve the best results and a study with a high level of honesty and stability .
For juniors, the research sample included (240) players from football academies
and football schools in the province of Babylon. Electronic devices were created
to test mental skills (attention focus, response speed, decision-making) and motor
skills (dribbling, scoring, receiving and passing). Among the conclusions of the
study is that there is an insignificant correlation between the mental and motor
skills of young players because the training age for them is short and they have
not been able to achieve the mechanism and fixation of the ability and overcome
the internal and external influences.
